1945 World Series Game 4 Full Ticket – The Billy Goat Curse Begins

The 1945 World Series Game 4 Full Ticket – The Billy Goat Curse Begins is one of the most collected in the hobby. Legend has it tavern operator William Sianis tried to bring his pet billy goat into game 4 of the 1945 World Series between Detroit’s Tigers and Chicago’s Cubs. After being denied entry by the ushers, Sianis appealed to Cubs Owner P.K. Wrigley. Wrigley was having none of it. Frustrated, and perhaps knowing a good PR stunt when he saw one, Sianis exclaimed the Cubs would win no further World Series until the goat was allowed inside. The Cubs lost the game and the series and the curse was born.
