This Jackson Baseball Mets specimen is from early in their time in Mississippi’s capital. The Mets played at Smith Wills Stadium in Jackson MS from 1974 to 1990. As soon as the Mets moved (for one season) to Williamsport, The Jackson Generals set up shop for 9 years. They then moved to Corpus Christi and became to Hooks.
Smith Wills stadium was left to deteriorate while a new stadium was built in Pearl MS to be home of the Mississippi Braves.
