What do Thanksgiving, FDR, and this 1939 Virginia Military Institute ticket stub have in common?
Turns out November 30 was not the universally agreed upon day to celebrate Thanksgiving in 1939. Franklin Roosevelt decreed the official day of Thanksgiving to be Nov 23. Many states, including Virginia, thought it should be Nov. 30.
