This 1954 NCAAF Oregon at California ticket stub is a prime example of mascot abuse, which was rampant on Pacific Coast Conference ticket stubs in that era. Bright primary colors were often used depicting the home team’s mascot either lying in wait for an unsuspecting visiting team’s mascot or looking nonchalant and assured of victory. These are by far my favorite ticket stubs.
