When Ticket Stub Barcoding Began By Sport and Team
Last month I went on a rant about barcoding technology and ticketing, and the path it led toward digital ticketing acceptance and eventual obsolescence.
I’ve since updated that post and now have a spreadsheet detailing when ticket stub barcoding began by sport and team. As I noted in my earlier post, the Oakland A’s far outpaced everyone by over a decade. The last team to adapt? 25 years later in 2009 when the Washington Football Team finally got on board.
I’ve also included first championship tickets and All Star Game tickets for each sport.
